Covid-Readiness In-Person Service Plans

We are committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for the entire family to enjoy their church experience and encounter God. As we come back to in-person services, things will look a little different as we take some precautions as a community to make sure everyone is safe. Please read through our policies before attending.

Here are the most recent guidelines we will be following:

Face Coverings

  • In accordance with Governor Walz’ executive order as of July 25, we are requiring everyone (age 6 and older) to wear a face covering while inside our church buildings. Thank you for taking this little extra step of precaution, not just for ourselves, but so that everyone around us can enjoy our church experience.
  • Exceptions to wearing a face covering:
    • Children 5 years old and under will not need to wear masks.
    • Children over 5 years in our kids ministry areas will not be required to wear masks, in accordance with the executive order’s exemptions for childcare spaces with a range of ages.
    • You will not need to wear masks if you have a medical condition or disability that prevents you from wearing one. (YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROVIDE US WITH ANY DETAILS OF YOUR MEDICAL CONDITION)
    • Anyone who is on the stage performing, speaking or teaching will not be required to wear a mask but will be practicing social distancing
  • If you forgot to bring yours, do not worry, we will have extra face masks available on-site upon entrance at both of our campuses.
  • Optional exemption for children: If a child care provider cares for children who are five and uner, but also cares for children older than five, the business can exempt children older than five from face covering and face shield requirements only if the exemption is clearly communicated in writing with all enrolled families and included in the business's COVID-19 preparedness plan.

Social Distancing / Cleanliness

  • Our Worship Gathering will be limited to 50% Capacity. Thankfully, we have the room capacity to allow all of our congregation to attend while maintaining social distancing requirements. So no one will need to be turned away if they wish to attend.
  • Seating will be rearranged with reasonable spacing, and Seat-Spacer cards will be available to place beside you to maintain social distancing.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the facilities.
  • All Kids Classrooms and Nursery will be open and available to our families. Use at your comfort level.
  • Offering Buckets will not be passed; offering will be collected at the doors as we leave.
  • There will be a deep cleaning of all areas before/after each service.
  • Greeters will not be shaking hands. We know that a lot of us at DCC are huggers, but please pay attention to body language and respect everyone’s personal space. We honor everyone’s right to practice social distancing at the level they are comfortable.
  • We welcome anyone to wear masks; however, our Team of Volunteers and Staff will not be required to do so.
  • The Cafe will not be open for the month of June.
  • We strongly encourage the sick, the most vulnerable, and those who are not yet comfortable gathering to stay home and continue to watch service online. Know that we love you and we miss you!

*These Plans are subject to change as new and updated situations develop. Those who choose to attend in person and on location assume all risks involved with social gatherings.

We are all so thrilled to see you again in person, and We Honestly Believe the Churches Greatest Hour is still ahead of Us.

We Love You,
