Volunteer Details
Get in the Game! There are several areas to get involved at Destiny Christian Church. Below is some information on each area. To begin serving at Destiny, fill out our Volunteer Form.
Cleaning
Description: The cleaning team does weekly cleaning around the building for events and special projects. Must be reliable and self motivated. Hours are flexible.
Serving: On a scheduled rotation or as need basis
Minimum Commitment: 1 hour shift - Once a month, twice a month, weekly or as needed
Greeters
Description: Greeters must greet members or guests warmly as they enter the building making them feel welcome for all regularly schedued services and special events. Greeters may direct people to various areas of the church or have a support team member escort them as necessary. Greeters are encouraged to have a willing spirit and a friendly smile.
Serving: On a regular schedule, arriving 30 minutes prior to services for which you're greeting
Minimum Commitment: One service per month
Higher Grounds Bookstore
Description: The purpose of the DCC bookstore is to provide a high quality and diverse mixture of music, books, bibles, and other resources for our congregation, visitors and guests to help in our daily christian walk. People serving in the bookstore need to be cheerful and friendly and enjoy working with people. Being sales-minded and having the ability to run a cash register and credit card sales terminal are a plus but we will train you as needed.
Serving: On a regular schedule, arriving 30 minutes prior to services and 30 minutes after
Minimum Commitment: (2-3) services per month
Higher Grounds Café
Description: Serve hot and cold refreshing drinks and snacks to enhance and encourage fellowship before and after services and special events. Need a cheerful and smiling face, willing to work 2-4 services a month. Training will be provided. No experience necessary.
Serving: On a regular schedule, arriving 45 minutes before service, and staying 45 minutes after service
Minimum Commitment: (2-4) services per month
Hospitality
Description: This is a team of men and women who provide food preparation, table set up, seasonal decorating, and food service for different events at Destiny. Must have a willing heart, a desire to get the job done, team spirit and be reliable.
Serving: On an as needed basis. Arriving ahead of event time to prep, serving at the event, and/or clean up
Minimum Commitment: As needed basis
Information Desk
Description: This is a team of women who staff the Front Desk 30 minutes before and after all services and special events. They provide information to people about the church, events, and volunteer sign ups. They also help in directing visitors and/or answering their questions regarding the church and services. Must be friendly and have a happy and smiling personality.
Serving: On a scheduled rotation
Minimum Commitment: 30 minutes before and after services
Jr. & Sr. High (Edge Culture Youth team)
Description: This is a team of men and women, young adults, and youth who are willing to serve before, after and during Youth services on Wednesday nights. Willingness to help with other Edge Culture events is appreciated. Must have a willing heart and a desire to serve the Youth ministry with integrity and excellence.
Serving: On a scheduled rotation
Minimum Commitment: Twice a month
Kid Zone
Description: Workers are encouraged to have an open, cheerful heart to assist our children in their spiritual growth. Curriculum and training is provided. Teacher and assistan teachers serving on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.

- Moo Moo Room (2-3 yr olds)
- Jungle Jam (4 - Kindergarten)
- Kid Jam (1st - 6th grade)
Serving: On a scheduled rotation
Minimum Commitment: Arriving 30 minutes before services. Minimal clean up after service.
Praise & Worship
Description: The purpose of the DCC music ministry is to help prepare the hearts of the congregation for the Word of God and bring worshippers into the presence of God through music and song. Team members must be reliable, have an ability to sing, play an instrument, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and be able to work well in a group. The ability to listen to music and pick out vocals and/or instruments is a definite plus.
Serving: On a scheduled rotation
Minimum Commitment: Monthly; includes all weekend services if scheduled. Some Thursdsay evening practices.
Production / Audio
Description: The production department enhances services and other events at Destiny. This includes but is not limited to control room functions like cameras, lighting, audio mix for loby and recording for CD and DVD, web streaming, large screen and monitor display for announcements, sermon notes and video promos. Experience with technical equipment is not necessary. Training is provided.
Serving: On a scheduled rotation. (Video - project by project basis)
Minimum Commitment: Serve in a service once per month (Video - experience in video graphics helpful)
Usher Team
Description: This is a group of men and women who serve God by serving Pastor Joe, the congregation and visitors who attend a church service or special event. The ushers assist Pastor or other ministers so the word can go forth effectively. The are ready to serve the people entering the sanctuary for services whenever necessary to help everyone feel comfortable so they can receive from God. The usher team is looking for people who are well-balanced, dependable,and commmitted to fulfilling God's vision for DCC. Skills needed will be taught.
Serving: On a scheduled rotation 30 minutes before and 15 minutes after each service
Minimum Commitment: Once or twice a month
Support
Description: Render assistance before, during and after services. Patrol the hallways, and provide a safe environment for all.
Serving: On a scheduled rotation
Minimum Commitment: 30 minutes before, during and after services. Twice a month.
